Grapefruit Seed Extract is a wonderful way to clean cages and toys and anything
that you would like to clean.  Its safe for birds there is no smell.  Hospitals are even
starting to use Grapefruit Seed Extract to disinfect.  Its just as good as bleach at
killing germs and bacteria the best thing is no harmful fumes.  It can even be used to
clean wood where as bleach would not be used.  There is plenty of great information

Mixing instuctions
Grapefruit extract makes an excellent
decontaminate for wood surfaces such as
perches. Mix a strong solution, a tablespoon
in sixteen ounces of clean water and spray or
dip perches, leaving for an half hour.  Rince
and dry thoroughly.
As an all-purpose cleaner add 30 to 60 drops
to any 32 oz sprayer filled with water.  Use
on all household surfaces including cages.
