Importance of a Healthy Complete Diet in your Bird's Life!
I can not stress enough about the importants of a balanced diet.  Seeds do not cover all the needs of a healthy
parrot.  This by all means is not a one sided issue and many people including professionals differ on what is best
for a bird diet wise.  I can only offer my own experience with my flock and the difference in there health since
I change there diet to a pellet based diet.  This does not mean I never offer anything else but indeed I offer a
huge variety of different foods for interest and pleasure.  Keeping a healthy balance is very important.  We
know if we left the diet up the bird they would want seed and fruit 24/7 but that is not healthy and if you
follow that type of diet you will soon learn that bacteria love to attack birds on those type of diets.  In the
wild a bird would be in its natural habit and all the healthy food they eat would be readily available to them at
all times not to mention the exercise they get hunting for there food which they do not get in there normal day
to day life with us.  Changes have to be made to balance out this abnormal life style for them which includes
lowering there fat intake.  I encourage everyone to do research on a healthy diet try different types of food
and encourage your birds to try a variety of foods.
